*While covering the recent State of the Black Union convention, I was surprised to see Walter Mosley up there on the dais alongside such celebrated African-American visionaries as Reverend Al Sharpton, Minister Louis Farrakhan and Princeton Professor Cornel West. For while Mosley might be the highly-regarded author of about 20 best sellers, in my mind he is still better known for writing crime novels than for weighing-in on political issues. Read Full Story
