EUR CATCHES SOME 'GRIDIRON' ACTION: New movie starring The Rock is packed with riveting action, drama and humor.
To be honest, "Gridiron" is formulaic, but to say it's a formula that works is an understatement. The movie has gut wrenching drama, incredible action on the gridiron (football field) and the right dose of humor. We had a hard time believing we were watching actors and not real thugs. They're that good. The film kind of reminded us of "Remember The Titans." But the thing that impressed us the most was the audience. Apparently the word is out about the movie because so many people showed up, several hundred disappointed people were turned away, we were told. After seeing the movie now we know why.
