*In 2000, the artist Musiq Soulchild introduced a hybrid of classic soul and neo-soul with his debut track “Just Friends.” The singer then dropped “Soulchild” from his name and dropped two more discs, one in 2002 and one in 2003, to the delight of R&B radio that had become saturated with cookie-cutter tracks. But then the music stopped or at least it felt like the Musiq stopped. Read Full Story
