Although Eddie Murphy, 46, has publicly questioned if he is the baby’s father and is demanding a DNA test be taken, Brown listed him as the father on the baby’s birth certificate, and included “Murphy” in baby’s full name. At the time, block parties were all the rage in cities up and down the east coast from New York City to Philadelphia to Baltimore and all stops in between. Even then community activists felt this form of music was detrimental because its only discernable attribute was the celebration of the party atmosphere. But the foundation of Hip-Hop was more than just that. It was about peace, unity, love and having fun. Back then there was no talk of guns and drugs. No one can say for certain why, but perhaps it was because Hip-Hop is another form of poor people music like jazz and rock and roll before it. Read Full Story
